On 5-6 May 2011 at the Radisson Daugava Hotel in Riga, Latvia, Nordic Council of Ministers Secretariat in cooperation with the NCM Office’s in Riga, together with the European Commission, Interact and Baltic Development Forum hosted the conference “Green Growth in the Baltic Sea Region”.
The conference identified opportunities and policy implications for realizing synergies between green growth initiatives, programs and projects in the Baltic Sea Region. By actively engaging the private sector the conference provided recommendations for how the EU Strategy and Action Plan for the Baltic Sea Region can further accelerate green growth – and thereby also contribute to the Europe 2020 Strategy.
