Nordic-Baltic Literature Forum

The 'National Literature in the 21st Century: Insights and Perspectives' forum is being held as part of the Tallinn Book Fair at the Estonian National Library on 5 April from 10 am to 16 pm. The Nordic Council of Ministers' Offices in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania initiated the project which has grown out from the concept of the Nordic Library Week, in order to create a platform for discussions about the vitality of modern literature and the status of libraries in the society.

Nordic Statistical Yearbook 2012
This edition of the Nordic Statistical Yearbook is the 50th. The first edition was published in 1962. To celebrate this jubilee, publisher have produced around 20 tables and diagrams, which show the development within many different aspects of Nordic life over the last 50 years. On 25 March at 18:00 professor Viktors Freibergs will analyz the cinematic art of Roy Andersson, a Swedish director and a master of the „deep focus”. Andersson directed a few full-length feature films between 1970 and 2007. The last one, You the Living, received the Nordic Council’s film award.
