The 'National Literature in the 21st Century: Insights and Perspectives' forum is being held as part of the Tallinn Book Fair at the Estonian National Library on 5 April from 10 am to 16 pm. The Nordic Council of Ministers' Offices in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania initiated the project which has grown out from the concept of the Nordic Library Week, in order to create a platform for discussions about the vitality of modern literature and the status of libraries in the society.

Nordic Statistical Yearbook 2010 is published for the 48th time. It is a reference book containing comprehensive and easily accessible statistics of various aspects of social life in the five Nordic countries and selfgoverning regions.

NORDICOM (Nordic Information Centre for Media and Communication Research) is an institution that operates under the auspices of the Nordic Council of Ministers. NORDICOM is a knowledge centre for the area of media and communication research, a cooperation between the Nordic countries.

An exciting story in DVD format about Roald Amundsen's expedition to the South Pole and well-known Norwegian polar explorer Borge Outland's book “The Great Polar journey – In the Footsteps of Nansen”, published in 2009, will be great readings for arctic explorers.
