The Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia offers an exhibition “Saxnäs, Lapplandà” that will be opened on Tuesday 22 March 2005 at the premises of the Office. The works exhibited have been created by seven new professional Latvian artists - Inga Dilba, Laura Feldberga, Inga Jurova, Anna Auziņa, Matiass Jansons, Paulis Liepa, Ieva Purgaile - influenced by Saxnäs, Lappland where they all spent some time at the Ricklundgården residence within the NCM program “Baltic Sleipnir”. The exhibition introduces painting, graphics and sculpture works represented at the exhibition. Saxnäs is a small village between mountains and lakes in Southern Lappland in Sweden. The unique surroundings, impressive landscapes create an inspiring atmosphere for artists.
