“CO2 E-Race Riga” is a series of events to start on November 14. It is designed to increase public awareness in the Baltic States about the global climate crisis and to show possible ways to solve it through the latest technologies.

The author of this project, an artist who is known for his creative ways to address problems in society, Jacob Fuglsang Mikkelsen, will also participate in this event by driving one of the electric cars.LYNX is one of the first 100% environmentally friendly sports cars. It will be equipped with a GPS tracking system that will show the position of the car live in “CO2 E-Race Riga” official webpage www.co2erace.lv and at viewing points around the city. These viewing points will be located in Stacijas laukums, on the corner of Brīvības and Vairoga street and in Spīķeri, next to Contemporary art museum KIM?. The route of the CO2 map is available on the webpage.
Jacob Fuglsang Mikkelsen will show a presentation about the project at 16:00 in the Contemporary art museum KIM?. When the map will be ready, the LYNX and other e-cars will be exhibited next to KIM?, where the exhibition about climate change issues will be open until midnight.

“CO2 E-Race Riga” events are organized in connection with the UN climate change conference COP 15 that will take place in Copenhagen on 7-18 December. The “CO2 E-Race Riga” as well as COP 15 will seek to bring attention to the seriousness of the problems caused by global warming and encourage people to find solutions for them.
