Nordic Council of Ministers' Baltic Media Grant Scheme supports the production of high-quality media content related to minorities in the Baltic countries. The Media Grant is open to journalists in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia and covers production costs of the selected project, as well as reasonable travel, accommodation and a modest honorarium. The current program is a continuation of a successful 2017 round of minority media grants program.
Freelance journalists and editorial offices of media outlets registered in one of the three Baltic States may apply for a grant of up to €10.000 for a maximum duration of one year.
The main objective of the programme is to increase quality and attractiveness of local, regional and national media and media products in the Baltic countries, with a special focus on inclusive content in minority languages and ethnically diverse or distinct regions.
