Hanne Petersen Refslund is terminating her duty as director ad interim of the NCM Office in Latvia at the end of June. Starting from July 1, the director of the office will be Imants Gross. I.Gross was born and raised up in Sweden, but having Latvian parents has been connected with Latvia both personally and professionally throughout many years. Imants Gross has more than 20 years experience in international affairs, business relations and development, management and leadership, diplomacy and politics in Scandinavia, the Baltic Sea Region, EU and Africa. He has also experience of state enterprise restructuring and privatization, regional management and development, international marketing and branding, project management including real estate project development. I.Gross has been working as a Head of the Representative Office in Sweden of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (2003-2005), Team Leader / Marketing Director of the EU Phare programme of the Latvian Privatization Agency (1995-1997). From 1991-1996 he has been assigned Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to the Kingdom of Sweden and Accredited Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway. Late employments include SIA “REALBALTIC” and SIA “LETEL” where he has fulfilled a position as Chairman of the Board. Educational background of I.Gross includes a Master degree in International Law at the University of Brussels. His native languages are Latvian and Swedish, besides he is fluent in English and German.
