The Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia is organizing a seminar “The Nordic Council of Ministers’ Action Plan for Combating the Use of Drugs – Best Practice Seminar”, which will take place on June 6, 2005, at the Conference Hall „Citadele” (12 Citadeles Street) in Riga.
The objective of the seminar is to inform about the results gained during the first year of Nordic Council of Ministers’ Action Plan for Combating the Use of Drugs in Latvia. The seminar will be open for the exchange of experience and networking among national, municipal and non-governmental institutions, active in the field of prevention of drug abuse.
The Nordic experience in the prevention of drug abuse and presentations on the projects aimed at the work in municipalities and in educational institutions in Latvia will be presented. We expect also a presentation of the results of the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Action Plan for Combating the Use of Drugs in Lithuania and Estonia.
The seminar will be held in Latvian and English with simultaneous interpretation into both languages. The seminar is free of charge; registration is required before June 1. Due to the fact that the number of participants is limited, the seminar organisers suggest that you register before the deadline.
