The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Riga, the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Latvia and the Nordic language center NORDISK invites to a meeting with Norwegian writer Erlend Loe tomorrow, February 29 at 18:00, at the Nordic Council of Ministers´ Office in Riga, 13/3 Marijas Str., Bergs Bazaar.
Erlend Loe is extraordinary personality and one of the world's best known Norwegian writers. He has gained popularity in Scandinavia with his humorous and sometimes naive novels, although his stories have become darker in tone, moving towards a more satirical criticism of modern Norwegian society. His literary debut came in 1993 with the novel Tatt av kvinnen (Gone with the Woman), and his second book Naive Super (1997) became a cult novel and best-seller across Europe and has been translated into over 20 languages.
