On April 27, 2017, the discussion on UN Sustainable Development Goals, Bioeconomy and Climate Change was held at the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia, Berga Bazars (Marijas street 13/3). The event "Patterns of Biosphere Exhibition Launch & Discussion on SDGs, Bioeconomy, and Climate Change" was organized by Embassy of Sweden in Latvia and the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia. Bioeconomy and biotechnology are associated with about half of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Therefore, bioeconomy is too important to be left to biotechnology entrepreneurs and a handful of policymakers and politicians. It is a matter of concern for all of us.
