The conference "Inclusive design 2018: think, plan and make for everyone" will be held on 18 October 2018, at the premises of the National Library of Latvia to discuss future opportunities for inclusive design, research and policymaking based on examples from Latvia and the Nordic countries.
At the conference will be discussed accessibility in Latvia, what should be done further, how to turn the inclusive design ideas and values into reality and how to break the stereotypes, how to make inclusive design an obvious thing for everyone in our community to have equal opportunities with others to take part in everyday life.
The conference is organized by the Ministry of Welfare of the Republic of Latvia in cooperation with the Nordic Council of Ministers` Office in Latvia, the Norwegian Mapping Authority "Kartverket" and the EU Cohesion Fund project.
Participation in the conference is free of charge. The conference work will be organized in Latvian and English, providing synchronous translation from Latvian to English and from English to Latvian. Two sign language interpreters will work during the conference. The conference will be live streamed on the website of the Ministry of Welfare and on the Social Networking Facebook page.
