The first application round of the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Program “Culture” in 2020 has been completed. So far professional art and culture practitioners from Latvia have received funding of 154,715 EUR.
Four of the six applicants have received support in the short-term network program - Latvian Center for Contemporary Art, Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art of the University of Latvia, Association “Culturelab” and Association “Artillery 35”. The total amount of support in the short-term network module is 79,295 EUR. In the long-term cooperation network module the Latvian Association of Landscape Architects has been supported with 55,650 EUR. Latvian organizations are also involved in supported projects submitted by other countries.
In the module for artist residencies from Latvia 8 applications were submitted and only “Gertrudes ielas teatris” association “Tarba” has received support of 12,190 euros.
3 mobility scholarships from Latvia have been awarded for the travel and stay within Nordic countries for a total amount of EUR 7,580. Elvira Blom, Ieva Džindža and Roman Korovin were granted Mobility funding. A total of 26 mobility applications were submitted from Latvia.
The next application round for the short-term network funding opens on 9 September 2020. The upcoming application rounds for Mobility funding in 2020 will take place twice – from July 17 until August 17 and from September 18 until October 19. More information: www.nordiskkulturkontakt.org
